Safety Notice: The largest area of the park is primarily a water retention pond for Chippewa Falls. We are no longer able to put fencing around the culverts as debris builds up and inhibits the drainage of water. For the safety of your pets, please take that into consideration when deciding if your dogs can play off leash in that area of the park.
2025 Annual Dog Swim
08/27/2025: Thank you to everyone who came out to support the park and let your dogs play around in the water today. An unforeseen circumstance caused the pool to be closed early so we apologize to anyone who showed up just as it was closing or had closed and to those who wanted to stay a little longer. But it was still a blast this year with great weather and a ton of dogs having a wonderful time. Looking forward to next year's swim!!!
We are a 53+ acre, off leash, canine leisure area...Operated, and oversight provided by a network of TOTALLY VOLUNTEER humans.

Happy Tails Dog Park is holding the annual Dog Swim fund raiser at the Chippewa Falls pool on 8/27/2025 from 4 to 7 pm. The fee is $5 per dog. Visitors who attend without dogs to watch the fun are welcome to do so for free! Please bring proof of rabies vaccination for any dog that attends. Also, please be aware that the state of WI has notified us that only dogs are allowed in the pool at that time. People must not go swimming with the dogs. In case it's raining on the 27th, the event will be moved to the 28th. The event is always a blast and we look forward to seeing you there!

The dog park is completely self -funded - made possible by annual and daily park fees, as well as a variety of fundraising efforts run by park volunteers.
Our primary goal is park sustainability - ensuring the park will be available to dogs and humans alike for years to come.
